I installed the page builder plugin to make my pages as I wanted them which worked perfectly.
Wile trying to edit the pages again yesterday I noticed it wouldn’t safe the new settings anymore and it resets to the setup it already had.
In other support threats with the same problem it is said it might be the problem of conflicting plugins.
I have deactivated all other plugins except the page builder plugin and it is still not working.
The plugins that are said to conflict in those thread are not installed on my website and I have also tried it with multiple (standard) themes.
Are there any other things I could try to see if it is going work properly again?
Thanks for your time.
If it helps, the plugins that I have installed are:
WordPress SEO van Yoast
Pronamic Cookies
Page Builder by SiteOrigin
List category posts
Jetpack door WordPress.com
Hide Title
Google Analytics door Yoast
Digg Digg
Coming Soon Page & Maintenance Mode by SeedProd.
Which are all deactivated execpt for the page builder by siteorigin plugin
when making a new page the page builder seems to work fine, just like on the other pages where page builder is active. Only on the about page it is not working. Widgets that are active on this page are only normal wordpress text widgets and a site origin image widget.
Hi Richard
This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
Oddly enough I came here for this issue as well. I created a new page. I switch to page builder and add a row. I add a text widget to this page and edit that to enter in some dummy text. I click Done and it saves that. I can verify this by going back into Edit on the widget. I then click on Update and when I go back into Edit on the widget, the dummy text is gone.
I have the following plug-ins installed:
Black Studio TinyMCE Widget
Contact Form 7
Media File Manager Advanced
Meta Slider
I disabled all the addons. I no longer had this problem. So I started enabling them one by one and testing. I found that this seems to be caused by Black Studio TinyMCE Widget. Hope it helps.
Page Builder by SiteOrigin
SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle
Wordfence Security
Hi Lery
It’s possible that this was/is a three way conflict. Page Builder and Black Studio work together as far as we can see from some fairly extensive testing. To confirm this, you could try testing with just Page Builder and Black Studio activated.
