I needed to use the page builder to do a few pages for our site (Vantage Theme – free). The test pages I did it messed up the width of the footer. However the home page of the site is done with page builder and there is no problem with the footer there. Only my newly built pages have this problem.

I tried to put the php instructions but I guess the tread didn’t like that.
Hi Bruce
Please try de-activating all non-SIteOrigin plugins and see if the issue resolves, there is a good chance this is plugin related: https://siteorigin.com/troubleshooting/identifying-plugin-conflicts/
Hi Andrew,
I was hoping that wasn’t the issue but I will try and get back to you.
Thanks for the fast response.
Regards.
It’s a bit tedious to test. Turn off all your plugins except Page Builder, if the issue is resolved then re-activate your plugins one at a time while checking the issue. We can usually suggest an alternative for a problem plugin or take a look at the way it’s being applied. Let me know how it goes.
Will deactivating a plugin cause me to lose any of the data associated to said plugin? In other words do I need to backup data first or is it ok to proceed?
Just de-activating a plugin won’t cause any data loss. So no you don’t need to do a backup.
Thanks, that was my thinking but always better to look before you leap you know.
Deactivating everything didn’t solve anything. Any other thoughts?
Have you made any edits to any of the theme files? It looks like you’re running 1.1.10, perhaps upgrade to 1.1.11 which should be pending under Dashboard > Updates. That will overwrite any template changes you’ve made in the code and perhaps resolve this.
Ok almost all of my changes are all done in my custom css plugin. The only code changed in the php files was for the footer. So I’ll backup my footer code and do the upgrade and get back to you Andrew.
Regards.
Sounds good. Perhaps you can let me know what you needed to your custom footer code to do and we can see if that can rather be done with CSS so that no footer.php changes are required.
Same issue after update.
I deactivated the Page Builder and the footer is fine now. So I am inclined to think that Page Builder has an issue somewhere. Any suggestions are welcome.
* Are you certain you’ve updated to .11 this is what your CSS on my side is still saying:

Is the site running a caching plugin? Clear the cache if it is.
This is the issue:
If you update to .11 your style.css will be overwritten and the footer CSS should revert to normal.
Not that I am awear of
I updated, not sure why it’s still caching.
Bruce can you please drop me a mail on [email protected] with a set of temporary admin login details and I’ll take a quick look.
Ok temp login sent.
Resolved. Details in email.
Thanks Bruce.
For reference a snippet of HTML in page caused this problem.
