Override customizer.php

By infoserwis, 10 years ago. Last reply by Andrew Misplon, 9 years ago.

Hi,
I’m trying to customize “vantagepremiumextrascustomizercustomizer.php” file (add subset to Google fonts) but I want to do it from child theme.
Simple copy, edit and paste in child theme is not working (still uses template theme file).
Adding
require_one ("premium/extras/customizer/customizer.php")
to functions.php in child theme results fatal errors.
Is it possible to do it from child theme? If not is it possible to add support for different subsets in Google fonts?

PS. Theme bought by Gumroad - don't have order number yet.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi

Thanks for your purchase, I’ll look into your order number shortly.

For now the way to resolve this is through a child theme:

    Oh did’n see that.

I think that solve problem but is there any chance to make it an option from wordpress to load additional subsets?

    Hi, I Work Here

I was just chatting to Greg about this now. It’s definitely something we want in the Customizer. I unfortunately can’t say exactly when it will be developed. Sorry I don’t have more right now.

No problem, there is solution for that so no rush :)

Any way I’m waiting to get order number and going to translate theme to Polish.

Any progress about loading additional subsets?

    Hi, I Work Here

Unfortunately not yet. If you let me know which fonts and subsets you want loaded we can work it up as Custom CSS.

There is no need at the moment. Changed customizer.php in main theme so it loads properly (dont now why when they are loaded from child theme functions.php fonts not loading under firefox).

    Hi, I Work Here

Can you perhaps ZIP a copy of your child theme, upload it to your media library and post the link so I can check it out?

    Hi, I Work Here

That looks correct. Not sure why it’s not working. You could also make the same import using CSS:

    @import url(http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:400,700&subset=latin,latin-ext);

When add filter in functions.php child theme:

    When made change in customizer.php:
