OptimizePress 2.0

11 years ago · Last reply by Greg Priday 11 years ago

Hey guys, got the premium Vantage theme. It’s wonderful although it seem’s that because I use it my optimise press software does not work. When you try and make changes in the live editor is just goes into a white blank screen. I’ve turned off all widgets and it still doesn’t work, only works when I disable the theme. Wondering if their is a way to fix this.

Assuming you’re using OP2.x as a plugin, of course you’re going to have a problem combining Pagebuilder and OP2 on the same page. They are both doing the same thing. Pick one or the other. OP’s Pagebuilder, Live Editor doesn’t play nice with standard WordPress content insertion and editing. Neither does SiteOrigin’s Pagebuilder. Both of these plugins are overriding WP’s editor functions on a per page, or per post basis. To get those custom layouts, SO’s using widgets, and OP2’s using page elements, they had to give up direct access. If you’ll notice, once you use SO’s Pagebuilder to structure a page, that’s what you have to live with. You get flexibility by being able to use their menu of widgets, and their layout functions.

Pick one or the other on a particular page. I hope this helps.

As far as using OP2’s theme, it clearly knocks out standard WP, and I don’t believe you get any access to SO’s Pagebuilder on any of the pages or posts within it.

    Hi Sean

HunterGatherer’s answer was spot on here. I’m afraid that there’s no way for us to get our plugin to play nice with OptimizePress.
