Opacity of text widget

7 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 7 years ago

Hey there,

I got two quick questions.

1.) is about the opacity of the text-widget with the page-builder.
I have set a background image for a one-pager and want the text-widget to hover above it. I searched this forum and found this code to add as CSS style:

background: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.5);

It works for the whole row, but not for the widget. If I apply it to the row, the background of the widget is still white.
This is the website: http://www.ilcivetto.de

Anyone got an idea?

2.) If you view this site with Firefox, the content is not centered, and I don’t understand why. Idea?

Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

    Hi Storekey,

    1. You need to apply it to both the row and the widget – or more specifically, remove the row border by setting the background to

    background: none;

    2. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to replicate this. Did you manage to resolve this issue?

    Hey Alex,

    Thanks for your response.

    Yeah, I’ve solved 2.). No idea how, but it works now. :D

    Still having issues with 1.) though:
    I tried to add your comment ass CSS-Style to the row (and the widget as well), but it doesn’t change a thing. Any background image or color, border color or anything else is removed, but it’s still only showing the white background.
    Btw: if I apply the rgba-code to the row, it’s still white in the middle (as it is right now), but only the empty space left and right is transparent. So it must have to do with the widget itself, I think.

    Hi Storekey,

    To clarify, where exactly are you applying this CSS? In other words, whereabouts are you trying to remove the background from? I ask as I can’t seem to find where you added the above CSS or are attempting this.
