Not getting the customizer as described in documentation

By Alda, 8 years ago. Last reply by Andrew Misplon, 8 years ago.

Hello,

I am new to Vantage and have just started tinkering with it to see if it will suit my website redesign. So far so good … except that, in reading the documentation, there are lots of instructions for how to customize fonts and so on, which I am not finding in the theme customizer at all. For example, the documentation instructs me to navigate to Appearance > Customize > Fonts, but all I get in the customizer menu are Site Identity, Menus, Widgets and Static Front Page. No fonts. So I’m more than a little confused. Is this something I would get with the premium version of the theme? Is there some way to test this out before I commit to purchasing?

Thanks.

Alda

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Alda

    Thanks for your interest.

Vantage Premium adds the complete Customizer section. Once you’ve upgraded you’ll find it at Appearance > Customize > Theme Design.

If you’d like to check that offering out, please, head to Appearance > Vantage Premium.

For any specifics on the upgrade process, please, see my thread here: Thread: How to purchase the premium version of a SiteOrigin theme

If you have any further questions, let us know :)

Hi Andrew, and thanks for the swift reply.

I’ve just bought the upgrade and have one more question: can I use Vantage on multiple sites, or am I limited to one? More specifically, can I install it on my test site to work out the customization kinks before I install it on my live website?

    Thanks!

    Hi, I Work Here

For sure :) Thanks for your support.

It’s a single production site license. No problem with using it locally and then live.

If you build your site completely and then move it, we recommend using:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

    All the best.

“No problem with using it locally and then live.”

I’m actually not building my site locally, but on the server under a different URL. Does that matter?

    Hi, I Work Here

That’s 100%. We just ask that you use the license for a single production/finished/non-testing website at a time.
