No matter what I do, pages won’t update/save.

Hi. all I was trying to do was to create a basic homepage with a list of links on the left side and a list of links on the right side, with the idea of it looking like a restaurant menu. I had the thing half way done and wanted to view it. So I hit update, and viewed the page, and it was still the same as it was before. I even cleared my cache for the last four weeks thinking my browser was the issue, but that wasn’t it either. My wife even looked at it on her computer and it was still the old way.
I don’t know if it is a wordpress issue, a theme issue (I’m using a non-siteorigin theme called cleanwp), a page builder issue, or a conflict of a combination of them.
Any suggestions on why it won’t update, and how to resolve it?
