No longer able to Customize

I purchased Vantage Premium and uploaded the theme as instructed. I was able to customize my site right away.
However, now 2 days later, I am no longer able to make any modifications to color, text, etc..
It is as I it has reverted back to Vantage Basic

    The site is definitely showing it is Vantage Premium. Could you tell me what shows when you go to Customizer, are there any options at all or is the screen blank.

    Hello Magnus,

    Thank you for replying to my post.

    I can see all the options, just can not adjust them.

    For example, if I go to modify the background color for the menu, it shows
    Hex Value. When I click on the space, it is just blank. This is the same for most of the items on the Customizer.

    I will attach a screen shot for you.

    As I mentioned in the original post, I had no problems on Thursday night.
    It worked just fine.

    Hi Eric

    We unfortunately do not allow image uploads to the forum. Would it be possible for you to upload the image to your site and link to it from there. We had a similar issue caused by a poorly written plugin a couple of months ago and patched the theme to stop that particular issue. It sounds as though you are facing something similar. Could you please try disabling all non siteorigin plugins and check the customizer again.

    we cannot recreate this issue locally but there have been a lot of changes made recently to both the Widgets Bundle and to the TinyMce editor. Could you please try rolling these back to an earlier version. To do thid you will need to download the required version as a zip file and then remove the current version and upload the new one from your computer via Plugins->Add New->Upload Plugin.

    For the Widgets bundle please try this version

    Then test again. If the issue persists then please try changing TinyMCE to this version

    Good morning Magus,

    I deactivated both plugins and deleted them. I also deactivated Vantage and deleted it as well.

    Reinstalled just Vantage and upgraded it back to Premium, still had the same issue.

    Reinstalled both back versions of the plugins, no change.

    The only option that I can think of is to completely remove WordPress from my site and start from scratch.

    Let me know what you suggest.

    If you had issues after a clean install of all items then there must be an issue with either the base WordPress install or with the hosting settings. A clean install of the WordPress files would be my suggestion for the next step.

    Hello Magus,

    Unfortunately things did not go well. I completely deleted the files in the site directory and started from scratch.

    I installed Vantage, then upgraded to the premium package. Added the meta slider and page builder plugins.

    I then went to check the customize settings and I am still not able to change any of the values. Still show Hex Value.

    I even made a new page RenshiLisa.com, added WordPress, Vantage, then
    Premium and so on. Same issue.

    I am at a loss.

    Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

    Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.

    Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Hi Eric

    Thanks for that. I have had a look and checked the php environment and usual causes and everything seems to be in order. I checked the site with a default WordPress Theme and the same issue occurs which does rule out any issues with Vantage or PageBuilder.

    The only possible cause of this now would be a hosting issue, perhaps with the cgi settings of the site. I have seen issues before when using WordPress with cgi/FastCGI, If you have the option please try using FPM/FastCGI instead. If not then I am afraid you will need to talk to your Hosting Provider to have a look at the issue.

    Hello Magus,
    Just an update, I gave up on my hosting site due to they never tried to assist me with the issue. After several emails and a phone call, I left them after 11 years of service.
    I switched to another hosting site and Vantage is working perfectly.

    Glad to hear you got it working correctly. It is a shame you had to leave your previous host. I have seen this before when using shared services. The host is usually reluctant to make any changes which may impact the other users on the same server.
