After updating Site Origin Editor about 10 days ago, I no longer have my choice of fonts; nor can I resize my text. I only have the paragraph tab. I have cleared cache, but the problem remains. Please advise. Thanks.
Hi Huw,
By default, the editor doesn’t include the ability to change fonts or change the font size. What plugin did you install to add this sort of functionality?
Thanks Alex
Now it makes sense. Am a relative newbie.
Using WP 4.8, Vantage theme, I have two editor plugins active:
1. Black Studio Tiny MCE
2. Tiny MCE Advanced
It’s working now; but are there implications to running both? Which one is active? And should I only run 1? Reason I ask, I am losing some formatting, paragraph spacing each time I edit and update.
Ta. Much obliged.
Huw
Hi Huw,
Black Studio TinyMCE adds the visual editor widget. It’s basically the same as the SiteOrigin Editor widget. If for whatever reason you decide to no longer use it, you’ll need to manually move over all usage of this widget to a different widget.
TinyMCE Advanced extends the WordPress editor with additional functionality. It extends (unless you specify) all instances of the Editor, be it in the Visual Editor widget or the SiteOrigin Editor widget. This plugin doesn’t directly affect the front end – it does, however, give you the tools to affect it. If you decide to no longer use this plugin, you can uninstall it without it affecting your content but you will lose non-standard editor buttons.
The most likely cause for formatting differences is Black Studio, I would recommend trying an editor widget to see if you experience the same formatting difference.
