Next/Previous navigation based on categories

I found this plugin (Smarter Navigation) that has not been tested in Vantage. It allows to use the Next/Previous navigation based on categories. It requires changing

previous_post_link(
and
next_post_link(
to
previous_post_smart(
and to
next_post_smart(
in the single.php file. However, I cannot find this codes in the single.php file or in any other php content file.
Please help.

    Sorry about the late reply here. Generally it’s quite risky making code changes like this, but if you’re willing to take on the risks, then those 2 function calls you’re looking for are in inc/template-tags.php
