need help with sidebar

Hi there,

Firstly, a Big thank you for making great themes, currently I am using Vantage theme.

And I really need your help guys, is there a way to put the sidebar widget under to the featured image on my posts, instead of next to it?

I have been trying to use various plugins but none of them helped me….

Thank you in advance!

    Hi Nurasyl

    Thanks for reaching out.

On any given post it’s possible to click over to the Page Builder tab and insert a widget into that interface. The widget will appear under the post title though, it’s not currently possible to put a widget right underneath the featured image. The above advice only applies to single post pages.

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you very much for a quick reply!

There is another question about the theme, I cannot change the size of my videos (youtube and others), they are all stretched by width size. I tried all the possible options… The last advice that was give to change a theme to another, because it could be a default option.

What can I do in this situation?

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi, I Work Here

    For sure.

FitVids, the script that handles dynamic video re-sizing is the reason your videos stretch to 100%. To de-activate this feature you can install and activate the following child theme:

    https://siteorigin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/vantage-child-de-register-fitvids.zip

Download the ZIP to your desktop.
Install the ZIP from Appearance > Themes > Add New: Upload Theme.
If it works for you then you’ll need to redo your Appearance > Menu location assignment, an expected result of activating a child theme.

    Hi, I Work Here

    For sure.

It’s hard to say what’s going on without viewing the site. Activating a child theme usually causes everything to reset. Can you start with Appearance > Menus and ensure your custom menu and ensure your menu is still saved to the theme’s primary menu location. Next head to Appearance > Theme Settings > Navigation and ensure Sticky Menu and Search are still activated.

Failing all of the above, please send me a link so I can take a look.

    Hi Andrew,

It was activated, I tried to deactivate and activate it again, but it didn’t work.

You can take a look http://www.bii.club, Sticky Menu and Search are still activated.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Please can you try this:

De-activate all non-SiteOrigin plugins. Do this at once time. Re-test the problem. If it resolves then re-activate your plugins one by one, each time checking the problem.

If the above has no effect, please redo the same test but this time with the parent theme activated.
