Hello
I have been using Page Builder by SiteOrigin since I first created my wordpress website and it has worked wonderfully. Today, however, I wanted to edit my sites’ Front page and all I got was a grey screen with nothing else on it. I can access and edit all other pages and Page Builder seems to work fine. The problem is the front page. I tried deactivating all the plugings except for Page builder and I still can’t edit the page. It just takes me to the aforementioned grey window. I then uninstalled all plugins including Pagebuilder and suddenly i was able to get access to my front page, but the page was empty. I designed the website using Page Builder, so if I deactivate it, all the graphic elements, posts and galleries disappear as well.
The front page had the most content, so It had the most rows and widgets. could it be that the page has too much content and therefore isn’t loading??? Is there any way I can get the rid of this grey screen?
I am using the themeforest ESPRESSO – Magazine / Newspaper WordPress Theme v 1.2.2

Has anyone else experienced the same problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance!
Hi Rolan
Sorry to hear about that. If you’re getting this issue and you’ve already tried disabling all non-SiteOrigin themes (just a quick reminder that you also need to clear your cache after disabling all other themes), then there are 2 more things you can try.
The first is to delete and reinstall both Page Builder and the Widgets Bundle if you have that installed.
From there, the only other thing I can think of is to try temporarily switching to a default WordPress theme to see if that fixes the issue. There’s an outside possibility that this could be theme related.
We had a similar problem although on a much smaller scale. Inside a post carousel some featured images have been grey (actually pinkish).
It turned out problem was with png files + J.Pack “Photon” + Enhanced Media Library (in case you use one).
We replaced png’s with jpeg’s and switched off the JP “Photo” module. And the problem went away.
