I scrolled through the posts and found one that used a <video src="http:// link to video file .mp4" but I am uncertain on how to used this type of statement.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Bob

Can you check which version of Firefox you’re using. Support for MP4 videos was only added in version 21 of Firefox. If you’re using an earlier version than that, it wont play MP4 videos.

I am running Firefox version 39. Site runs fine on IE, Chrome, Safari… but not Firefox.

I can insert the URL directly on the page using just the visual editor and the video loads with a black screen and a play icon and works in Firefox. See this link: http://www.btdigitalmarketing.com/vbs-2015-2/

I’m not sure how to use the PB Video Widget generated page with all browsers other than Firefox. The PB Video Widget page loads and automatically starts on non-Firefox browsers.

Still no luck running this .mp4 file on Firefox. Runs fine on IE 11, Chrome and Safari.

Link is http://www.wumc.com/vbs-2015/. This is a production site and this video plays an important role in their marketing.

    This is a premium theme.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Bob

I just had another look at that link. I just had a look and in Firefox, the following error is coming up.

Media resource http://www.wumc.com/wp-content/gallery/VBS2015/VBS2015.mp4?_=1 could not be decoded.

Based on some research, it seems like this might be a bug that’s been introduced in Firefox 35

    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/27945870/media-resource-filepath-filename-mp4-could-not-be-decoded-while-trying-to-pla

The issue might be related to some sort of encoding error, so one possible fix might be to reencode this video. You could try a tool like this http://www.onlinevideoconverter.com/

Another alternative would be hosting the video on YouTube or Vimeo until this issue is fixed in Firefox.

    Thank you Greg.

Greg, I finally resolved this by putting the .mp4 file on YouTube. I didn’t want to do that because there are lots of children in the video and I didn’t want them to show up on YouTube because of what their parents might think. I found out that you can post a video as unlisted and it won’t be found in a YouTube search.

All is working well now. Thanks for your help.
