Hey ho,
i have got two questions:
1. are there any things they i have to look for if i move a site (build pack baseline) from offline develop system to an online host?
2. if i upgrade to premium on the develop system and move it then to the online host, i am still premium? is it this way correct?
Thanks for your answer
Alex from Germany
Hi Alex,
Sorry for the delay.
1. Host wise, no. Migration wise, yes. Make sure the migration method you use supports serialized data (it’ll state if it does) as page builder data and WordPress customizer data are both stored in serialized forms. We highly recommend the excellent Duplicator plugin for migration.
2. Yes, you will still be premium after the migration. :)
By the way, as you’re a premium user, you’re entitled to priority email support. If you would like to make use of that, please follow the instructions found on your Page: Dashboard (please refer to the support tab). Please reference this thread and include your SiteOrigin order key in the email.
Hi Alex,
first thanks for your answer. Now i know a little bit more of a premium account. If i understand, i am premium not my theme. Is that right? :)
And i only get premium Support for this key, also, where i used it for, right?
If i create a new wordpress site with a theme of you than i Need a new premium key.
To migrate, i don`t know anything about the duplicator. I used the all-in-one-wp-migrate-plugin for a test. I think it works. Can i use this tool, too? Or do you have any bad experience with it?
Kind regards Alex
Hi Tschorden,
Technically, yes. Basically, as the only active site will be the site that was migrated you’ll only have a single “active” site associated with your license. This means that it conforms with the license.
Correct. You’ll only get premium support for activated sites.
Yes, although I wouldn’t recommend purchasing a new key and instead would upgrade your current key as it’ll work out to be cheaper in the long run. Here are the upgrade steps:
1. Login to the dashboard: Page: Dashboard
2. Click Order History.
3. Click View Licenses.
4. Click View Upgrades.
5. Click Upgrade License next to the desired license type.
Regarding migration, yes, that tool also support serialized data so I would recommend using that as you’re already familiar with it.
Please note that we’re only able to provide premium support via email.
