Mobile problems

10 years ago · Last reply by HavaWorkman 10 years ago

I am almost done with a website for a client but when she went to look at it tonight, she found all sorts of problems when she viewed it on her iPhone 6. I tried it on my iPhone 5s and found all of the same problems. The menu bar doesn’t usually work when clicked on, the sliders aren’t working, things are overlapping all over the place – the site is a mess.

HELP!!

The website isn’t viewable by the public but I’ve given you guys the username and password previously to view it as an admin. I can send it again.

Thank you

Any updates on this? My client would like to go live with this site soon.

    Thank you!

    Hi Hava

Huge apologies for the delay! Hopefully I’ll be able to step up and help you fix everything.

First up the navigation bar overlapping the content. This is actually what the sticky menu is meant to be doing, but there is an option to disable this sticky menu, which a lot of people prefer. If you navigate to Appearance > Theme Settings. Under the Navigation section is a setting called “Mobile Navigation”. Just make sure this is disabled and you’ll no longer get the sticky menu on mobile devices.

As for the slider, I checked this and it seems to be displaying properly for me. If I’m not mistaken, this is a Meta Slider, correct? If you’re using Meta Slider Pro (which again, it looks like you are). Then they might be better equipped to help you with this particular issue.

But I’d be glad to take another look if you’re still getting the issue.

I can change the menu so it isn't sticky but even that aside, when I was tapping on the menu on my phone, it wasn't responding to my taps the vast majority of the time. The whole screen would just jerk and then nothing else.

I can contact Meta Slider about the slider.

Is there a way to resize the title of the site just when it's on a mobile phone? The title is HUGE on a phone and looks funky.

    Thank you!
