Missing Widgits

Hi there,

I have just installed the Vantage Theme and Page Builder. The hope was to work from an existing Vantage Theme and update with my own content, but I’m realizing life isn’t going to be that simple. With some due diligence, I found a pre-built layout and installed it for my home page but several of the widgets are marked as missing. See attached Screen Capture.

When I click edit on the missing widget, I get the following example message:

The widget SiteOrigin_Widget_Hero_Widget is not available. Please try locate and install the missing plugin. Post on the support forums if you need help.

What am I missing here?

    Hi Jennifer

    Thanks for your question.

Go to Plugins and ensure the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle is installed and activated. If it is, go to Plugins > SiteOrigin Widgets and ensure that the widgets you need are activated.

Eureka! Interestingly, the SiteOrigin Widgets plugin wasn’t installed at all. I guess I figured it would have been included with the Page Builder! Now I have full access to the templates as I was hoping for. Yeah!

One last question… is there a way to get back to the original Vantage Theme?

    Hi, I Work Here

Glad to hear you’ve been making progress.

Vantage, unfortunately, doesn’t offer a settings reset for Theme Settings or the Customizer. Is that what you meant?

    Hi, I Work Here

There is a plugin solution that can reset all Theme and Customizer settings. It’s an intermediate level solution. Would you like us to explain that option?

    Yes! That would be great…

    Hi, I Work Here

The plugin we use for this task is:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-database-reset/

Once activated, go to Tools > Database Reset and select the options table from the drop down menu. Enter the necessary confirmation code and reset.

Please, work slowly with this plugin as it has the capability to reset everything. We just want to reset the options table.

Thank you for this. Worked like a charm.
