Missing jetpack image widget

By siestasunvillas, 7 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 7 years ago.

Hello,

Recently my website images have all disappeared and I have the following error:

“The widget Jetpack_Image_Widget is not available. Please try locate and install the missing plugin. Post on the support forums if you need help.”

I have a wordpress site (latest version 4.8)

I also have Jetpack by WordPress.com (latest version 5.0)

i have sydney theme (latest version)

I have heard of other reports of this happening ever since wordpress now has their own image widget, they got rid of the jetpack image widget. It was supposed to transfer over but it did not…

See this “In Jetpack 5.0, there is a migration script in place that, as soon as you’re on WordPress 4.8, it converts the Jetpack image widgets active on the site to WordPress’ built-in image widget so it should have been seamless. ”

Mine did not convert over.

Do you have any solutions?

Thank you very much

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Siestasunvillas,

Unfortunately, this issue is caused due to how aggressive Jetpack was in their removal of the image widget. I would recommend getting in contact with Jetpack to resolve this issue. Sorry mate. :(
