Metaslider not working properly in Safari

10 years ago · Last reply by Magus 10 years ago

Hi all,

I am a vantage premium user and having issues with how the Metaslider displays on safari. If you go to our home page using safari http://pn2k.org you will notice that there is a huge space between the overlay image and the background image. This is only happening in Safari. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Hi Thedeveloper

I am not seeing any difference between Safari and other browsers. Woud it be possible for you to link to a screenshot so we can see what you are observing.

    Thanks

    Hi Thedeveloper

It looks like you have directly edited the theme files to overwrite the Demo Slider, Can you confirm?

    Thanks

    Hi Thedeveloper

If you have not done so already, Please install this plugin

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/ml-slider/

Once done please navigate to Meta Slider and recreate your slider using the interface supplied, remembering to give it a unique name.

When you have done this please navigate to Appearance->Theme Settings->Home and in the section Home Page Slider, select your new slider in the dropdown.

This should fix your issue with Safari. If not then you will need to switch to a different theme and delete/reinstall Vantage Premium to repair the altered files. If you need to do this please take a note of any sidebar widget assignments and Custom CSS you have entered as you may lose these.

Let us know how you get on

    Magus
