Hi,
When making a meta slider object to be used on the homepage the max width that can be set is 1080. I would like to use a nice wide panorama image but then this cap of 1080 crops out and therefore the crop of 1080 is stretched to fit the screen and then the image appears pixelated.
How can I set the width of the meta slider object to be wider so the image isn’t stretched on wide screens. For narrower screens it could just down scale. The max of 1080 wide to then upscale looks bad on widescreens. Can we put larger and then only downscale for the appropriate screen width.
Thanks for all good help,
Antoine
Hi Antoine
You can set the Meta Slider width under the slider’s settings, under Meta Slider in the main left WordPress menu.
Additionally try the following under Appearance > Custom CSS:
Hi Andrew,
I have pasted the above css in Custom CSS, but still the max Meta Slider width under slider settings is maxed out at 1080. For example I set 1600 save head to another WP page do stuff then come back to the meta slider slider settings and the 1600 is set back to 1080.
Thanks for looking into this,
That’s strange for sure. Please run through some basics here:
Dashboard > Updates: run any pending updates.
De-activate all other plugins and re-test.
Test to see if the same happens when you create a new slider.
Ran you through your steps. Still same problem. Something is capping the width of the slider to 1080.
Any Ideas?
Not sure. You could perhaps change the theme from Vantage (Flex) to Default if that’s what you have it set to.
This image is 1080px wide: http://norratek.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Gornergrat09-1080×300.jpg. Just noting that.
(If this is a copy of Meta Slider Pro then it’s worth opening a ticket with them as they’re obviously a lot quicker on the problem solving when it comes to their own plugin.)
Pffahaha!! You right on it! changing the slider theme from Vantage Flex to Default did it!
Thanks Andrew!
Awesome, glad to hear that helped.
