Meta Slider, low quality images

I have been moved my site to vantage, so fat it has been great. The only problem I have now is with the meta slider.

I have prepared my slides in Photoshop with a good resolution 200 – 300 dpi and 5606 x 2246 pixels, when I look at the images they have good quality, but when I place them in the meta slider they get pixelated. the resolution goes down.

is there any way to avoid this? I have tried un-checking stretching and smart crop, but the images still get pixelated.

it is just the image quality, they are not getting distorted or scaled.

Thank you for the help.

Kind Regards

Hi Omar. Your images will land up being sized down to the dimensions you declare for the slider under MetaSlider. In general WordPress lowers the quality of images, I’m not sure if this affects MetaSlider but you can also try this plugin to assist and move quality up to 100%: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-resized-image-quality/.

Hi. It looks like the Featured Images you are using are too small for the size of the Snapshot slider. If you need further help please open a new support thread. Thanks.

Just like Omar, I have slides in 2560x1440px, but as my slider is 1080px and stretched width.
I tried removing all slides, increased the width to 1920px and then re-imported my slides. Still it falls back to 1080px width.

I guess it is the Vantage (Flex) theme limited at 1080px, right?

    Hi Linus

Could you perhaps open a fresh thread for me? Do you have a link I can check this at? If so, please send that through.

I’ll send an e-mail. I would prefer not to post the URL here if not being able to edit/erase URL later.

    Hi Andrew,

I am also having the same issues. My images are 300dpi and set to the same scale as the slider so I don’t understand why the images are pixelating – They appear perfectly clear in photoshop and illustrator and I only have this issue with the full width slider.

Unfortunately I can’t send you a link to my website as I’m currently building it via MAMP until it’s ready to upload. The scale of my slider is 1080x350px, Nivo Slider (not stretched). I can send screen shots of the page if it will help at all?

    Many thanks,
