Meta Slider doesn’t resume play after using next or previous button

Dear SiteOrigin,

Much love for your very versatile Vantage theme!

I was wondering if you could help me with the following.

The Meta Slider (home slider on Vantage) doesn’t seem to resume playing after you’ve clicked on the next or previous button. It just simply stay paused.

I’ve noticed that this behavior is default, because on your Vantage Demo slider the same thing happens.

Vantage

Is there any way to resume it after an amount of time?
Or is it better to ask this question @ Meta Slider?

I’ve search the web about this for some weeks, but haven’t found a good solution yet.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

    Hi Coldasicezero

Could you please check if you have the latest version of metaslider plugin installed. I have just tested this by creating a new slideshow and assigning it as the home page slider in Appearance->Theme Settings->Home and the slides continue playing after manual navigation.

    Thanks

    Hi Magus,

Thank you for your quick reply!
My apologies for my late response.

I’ve updated the Meta Slider plugin before my post (version 3.3.2).
But yesterday I’ve created a new slide show and also assigned it as the home page slider. But unfortunately the behavior did not change. It still doesn’t resume after manual navigation.

Have tested the results in multiple browsers (Chrome, IE and Firefox).

    Hi Coldasicezero

This seems to be caused by the pause on hover option in meta-slider being disabled. If you enable this option the slideshow should continue after navigation.

    Hi Magus,

Just tested it. Yes indeed, after enabling this option, the silde show resumes.
    So that works, thanks again!

But… I do not want the slideshow to be paused while hovering and still would like it to resume.
    Is there some other way?

Do you know if the pro-version of Meta Slider offers this functionality?

    Hi Coldasicezero

This has been discussed on the WordPress support forum for Meta-Slider and the author did nor reply so I couldn’t say if this is by design or not. You could try posting the question again and see if you get an answer.

I am not sure if upgrading to the pro version will fix the issue or not I’m afraid.
