Menu item becomes invisible from the menu bar when clicked

Hello,

I recently changed my top menu bar formatting using CSS Site Origin. Now, when I click on a menu item (for instance- Recipe) on the. top menu bar, the particular menu bar item becomes invisible. The page does load as normal and I can still see other menu bar items such as About me, contact me etc, except the one that I clicked on.

I am relatively poor when it comes to CSS so I am not able to diagnose the issue unfortunately. I would really appreciate some help.
