Menu Icon on custom link

I would like to make use of the menu icons feature that the vantage theme offers, however I would like it to appear next to a menu item that I’ve added via Appearance > Menus > Custom Link. As I understand, the menu icons are implemented in the PageBuilder view for the desired page. Is there any way I can use an icon on a menu item that isn’t an actual page just a custom li.
