Hi
I have installed the vantage theme and while it looks really great, I can’t upload images. Its goes through the process of uploading the image and then fails and I get a message HTTP error.
I have no plugins installed and no content on the website at all, if I deactivate the vantage theme and reactivate the default theme twenty fourteen there is no issue uploading images.
Thanks

Hi Codi
Thanks for trying out Vantage.
Can you perhaps run through the permissions checks outlined here: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-image-upload-issue-in-wordpress/ and see if that helps at all.
Hello Andrew,
I have the same problem uploading. My file sizes are half of the maximum allowed size, and are .jpg, and this is a wen problem.
When I try to upload, the blue bar moves smoothly ahead until it reaches 100%, there is a blue frame around a “blank” image, but then I get the error message telling me there was an error uploading files, and I should try again later.
If I pass via the “media library, upload new” and choos the file that way, the progress on the bottom moves along and then the screen goes completely white.
I changed file permissions via the instructions above, first to 744 (with no luck) then to 755 (still no luck)
The strange thing is, that when I go back to double check the uploads file after changing to 755, it says 744. Like somehow the new file permission wasn’t “sticking”. I would really appreciate any suggestions you might have.
Thank you!
