Masonry - Is it possible to have the image not split in half?...with text on top?

I'm curious if Masonry can have the image remain in tact but become shaded or a grey filter and have text show on top of the image when its hovered.

That’s unfortunately not an option of the Masonry widget as it stands. If you have a moment perhaps suggest this as a future feature:
