Managing Pre-Built Templates and Clone

Hi, I’m trying to produce page builder templates for my users. I see that if I create a public page with one of my custom post types (say, “syllabus”), it shows up in the pre-built templates view for all users under “clone: syllabus” This is great! However, when a nonadmin builds a page with page builder, their post also shows up under clone, which I think I understand the rationale behind, but I would like to manage this if possible. I don’t want to disable the “clone” feature entirely because I need to offer my community templates, and I like the way it auto-organizes based on post type. I also do kinda like the idea of my users being able to share their own templates with each other if they want, but I’m not sure what to do in the case where a user does not want her page content archived and retrievable in this way.

I would really appreciate any and all feedback your team may have here!

Best,

Ben

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ben,

Unfortunately, this isn’t possible without some custom coding. I’ve marked this thread as a feature request. We often look through these threads to get ideas for what to add in our future updates. Hopefully, we’ll be able to add this in a future update.

If you need this urgently, you could always post a job on Codeable.
