Making Post Carousel and footer sticky

9 years ago

Hi All,

I’m two weeks new in this world of wordpress, widgets, HTML, CSS, coding etc and have managed to achieve a couple of things so far with the help of step-by-step tutorials, the Chrome Inspect function and much MUCH trial and error – my site has a coming soon page (widget) while I get it together (whoever had that idea – genius) and underneath the homepage has a fullscreen looping background video yay! So lets assume my knowledge is basic, but that I can follow instructions…

What i’d like to be able to do is:
1. make the footer stick to the bottom of the window (not content) and move responsively when the window is resized, and display responsively on mobile for example, or have a default alternative for small screens;
2. while allowing the SOPC within the footer to continue to do it thing and also respond to resizing;
OR
3. Just somehow instruct the SOPC itself to be sticky….

Possible…?

I’ve tried using SOPC widget placed in the footer and also activating Simple Sticky Footer ()SSF) widget hoping SSF would instruct the footer overall and SOPC would then just work nicely within it but it hasn’t worked.

Note I do have the Custom CSS plugin (currently instructing the background video.)

If you’ve made it this far, thanks!
