Long story cut short i tried to replace “New Slider” with another with the same name – deleting the original – as i thought this was would be a more efficient option than deleting each slide with the slider in order to replace them with new ones.
It will probably come as no surprise to yourselves that this did not work and my Vantage home-page now has no slider – and as far as I can see, no way to revert to the original theme-installed version.
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing indeed.
As a temporary and partial fix I have added a normal Meta Slider to my home page but this of course is no positioned as per the original.
just in case i have muddied the enquiry with my own response from Friday – i DO still need assistance please, my ‘fix’ is not as required.
Hi phil
Have you gone back to Appearance > Theme Settings > Home and checked that the slider allocation there is correct?
All of your saved sliders should appear in that drop down list. So if you were to change a slider name or add a new slider it will reflect in that drop down menu. You can then select which slider will be displayed on your home page.
Once again, you are my hero – even if that means I am even more numpty than we thought!
Super, glad to hear that helped.
