Logo-In-Menu – Problems with Child Vantage Theme

By PaV, 10 years ago. Last reply by Andrew Misplon, 10 years ago.

Hi All,

I’m afraid I’m a bit of a WP novice, so please excuse me if this is rather an obvious question….

I am using a child Vantage theme (not premium) to allow me to make a few tweaks to things such as masthead size etc. I would like my logo (currently in the masthead) to display in the menu bar.

I have the ‘Display logo in menu’ option selected in the Theme Settings->Layout tab but this does not make any difference to the final website – Logo is still in the masthead.

If I switch back to the original Vantage (non-Child) theme the Logo appears in the menu correctly (but of course all of my other settings are lost).

Any suggestions as to what I’m missing? I cant really understand what is blocking the logo from being displayed in the menu as instructed.

Many thanks,
-PaV-

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi PaV

If you have /parts/masthead-logo-in-menu.php and have edited that file it’s possible that’s the reason the logo in menu option is no longer effective.

What you can also do here is strip your child theme down to only style.css, then slowly add in your customisations one at a time, when logo in menu option stops working you’ll know which one of your customisations is causing the issue.
