Life Editor not showing up

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

Hello SiteOrigin!

A big fan of your plugin it really great.
I just have one small thing, i was playing arround with the Live Editor and if i make a new page and clone a old page its going to show the icon Live Editor. But when i click publish and the site is live the button for Live Editor is gone. is there some way that i can edit old pages with the live editor ?

    Hi Kran

Thanks for your support, we appreciate you reaching out.

This isn’t normal behaviour, the Live Editor should be available to you for all pages. If you are able, please try a little testing for us:

    1. Ensure no updates are pending at Dashboard > Updates. Ideally everything, including WordPress should be up to date.

    2. Try testing with a new page with all non-SiteOrigin plugins de-activated.

    3. If there is no change with the above steps, please try testing with all non-SiteOrigin plugins de-activated and a default theme like Twenty Fifteen activated.

The idea is to try strip your WordPress installation down to just the basics, if the error resolves we’ll then add back plugins one by one until the issue happens again.

    Thanks :)
