The box at the foot of my blog post pages is titled ‘Leave a Reply’.
Can I change this title to ‘Leave a Comment’
Perhaps I have set something up incorrectly. I am using Salient theme.

Thanks for posting.
It’s a bit of a workaround but I would try changing that string with Loco Translate:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/
Create an English translation for your theme, search for the string in question, translate/save and save.
Unfortunately, the above solution only works if Salient is listing the Leave a Reply string. If it isn’t then this string is in the WordPress core and it becomes more complicated to translate.
You might use something like this: https://vip.wordpress.com/documentation/vip-development-tips-tricks/changing-core-wordpress-strings/ along with the Snippets plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/
Salient is a premium theme so it should come with support. You could perhaps get in touch with their support team about the best way to make this change :)
