Hi there,
I am working on a theme and we’d like to store some of the layouts in the codebase to “preserve” the original design state and promote better reuse of layouts.
I read through the documentation here: https://siteorigin.com/docs/page-builder/bundling-prebuilt/.
After adding the constants into the wp-config.php file – I am unable to see the output of the PHP data-dump that is mentioned – is there a new method for this that I might be missing?
Hi Derek
Sorry for the hassle, the dump is outputted into the page markup when viewing the admin, in WordPress. An updated method of doing this is as follows:
1. Export your layouts by editing the page, clicking LayoutsImport/ExportDownload Layout.
2. Declare the folder you’ll be storing your layouts in as follows: https://github.com/siteorigin/siteorigin-corp/blob/develop/inc/siteorigin-panels.php#L11-L18.
3. Upload your layouts to your folder of choice: https://github.com/siteorigin/siteorigin-corp/tree/develop/inc/layouts.
I’m sorry we haven’t updated the docs with this easier method. We’re a small team and sometimes things slip through the cracks. I’m making a note to get those prebuilt layout docs updated. Hope this message is in time to help.
No problem at all – I know that feeling.
