Latest Jetpack Plugin Update Breaks Layout Builder

I started having problems tonight after updating a couple plugins. The Done and “X” buttons do not work when trying to update widgets in Page Builder. I did some Google searching and came across old tickets on this site with similar issues. After disabling my widgets I narrowed the problem down to Jetpack (which I do believe just updated). Everything works fine even after I enabled Jetpack again – until I connected it to WordPress.com and then we’re back to widgets not working again.

I can work-around this problem for now but it’s extremely inconvenient. If there’s anything I can do to help rectify this situation, please let me know.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Robert

We have a fix ready, once we confirm that this fixes the issue we’ll send out the update. Would it be possible for you to manually install the update to check if this solves the issues for you?

    1. In your WordPress admin, navigate to PluginsInstalled.
    2. Deactivate Page Builder, then delete it to make sure you can install the new version.
    3. Download a copy of 2.4.1: https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/siteorigin-panels.2.4.1.zip
    4. Navigate to PluginsAdd New. Click Upload Plugin, then select and install the 2.4.1 zip file you downloaded.

Thanks for taking the time to check! Please let us know if this solves the issues you were experiencing.

I’ll give this a go as soon as I get a chance today.

Good news – the patch seems to be working fine! Thanks! Once I get things online (next few days or so) I’m planning to write a post detailing my “must-have” WP plugins. Expect to be mentioned.

I can confirm Jetpack last update is the bottleneck.

    Let me explain :

1.I made the update from 2.4 to 2.4.1
    2.Issue was not solved.
    3.I have unactivate Jet Pack
    4. Issue was solved : Plug in features back to normal

Will you plan to align your fixes with Jetpack ?

    Best,

    David
