Just activated to Vantage Premium and now site is not loading.

By Kevin Curran, 9 years ago. Last reply by Andrew Misplon, 9 years ago.

As I try to log into my site

Helpful resources for the boating community

I reach this page..

Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.
Error code: ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

Eventually after many attempts the page will load, but then when I access Dashboard, I have the same problem – when it does load it takes 30 seconds.
I paid to have my site switched to Premium version this past weekend. So, I feel the two events are correlated. I also have PageBuilder, SEO, the recommended Slider plugin, loaded on the site.
I read some previous threads – and it seems this is a problem for others.

Is there something I should delete? reload? to help resuscitate the site?
thanks
Kevin

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kevin

Are you still seeing this problem on your side? Browsing your site now, everything looks in order.

Doing some reading on this now and it seems to be a GoDaddy related hosting problem: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-code-err_empty_response-1.

If you’re still seeing this happen perhaps you could hop on chat with GoDaddy Hosting and see if they’re able to help resolve.

    Andrew,

THanks for response. I am no longer seeing the problem. But – I believe the reason for that fix is because I deactivated the Page Builder plugin that was recommended with the theme. I had read in previous threads that this was the culprit, so I tried that and then got the site back up to speed. I saw you were working on a new Pagebuilder with a CSS option that didn’t slow down a site?
Do you think i should try to load the updated version or just skip on the PageBuilder plug in.

    Thanks

    Kevin

    Hi, I Work Here

Glad to hear you made progress here. New Page Builder should hopefully be pushed next week but you’re more than welcome to run it now. The download url is here: https://siteorigin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/siteorigin-panels.1.5.4.zip. Delete Page Builder from Plugins and then install the new version from Plugins > Add New: Upload Plugin. Once activated head to Settings > SiteOrigin Page Builder and make sure Inline CSS is checked.
