Jumping a few pixels during slider animation

Hello,

I am using your Page Builder to create a website with the theme Swift (swiftthemes.com), and I use the SiteOrigin slider to put a slider on the top of the page. Every time it changes the image it jumps up or down slightly, I put a very long time to reduce the problem, but I cannot solve it.

The images are as background image and I tried both full width and full width stretched, and almost any combination of settings.

When I use your prebuilt layout “Creative Agency” I have the exact same problem, even without changing the images.

What’s the problem? How could I solve it?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Pablo

I can’t seem to notice the issue on your home page. Is it happening on a different page? Also, which browser are you using? Can you check with a different browser to help us figure out if this issue is browser specific?

Also, if you temporarily switch to a different theme, does the issue go away?

    Hello Greg, thank you.

It happen on the homepage and on the other page where I put a slider:

But I set the transition between images of the slider to 60 sec to mitigate the problem while I fix it. It happen in every browser I tried, on the desktop and mobile, and a couple of friends pointed out to me too. I am normally using Chrome and Safari, checked in both with the same result.

Since I increased so much the time between slides, just change the images manually and you will notice that every second time -sometimes you notice it, sometimes you don’t- when you change the image the text underneath moves a few pixels up or down.

It was quite annoying before when I had it set up to 4 seconds transitions, because while the reader is further reading into the page the text keeps going up and down.

I will check later if switching to a different theme changes anything.

    Cheers,
    Pablo

    Hi, I Work Here

Aaah OK, I understand what’s happening now. The easiest solution to this is making sure that the images in the slider are all the same size, or more specifically that they have the same aspect ration. Changing this will stop the slider container from resizing between slides.

That was my first thought at first, but the 4 of them are the same size and ratio.

    Hi, I Work Here

One more thing to check. Each slide gives you 2 ways to set the image.
Either a background image or a foreground image. Can you check that all slide images are set in the same way?

All of them are set as background image.

Any new ideas on this problem? Thanks. :$

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Pablo

Sorry for the late reply here. Disabling the widget class might help here. It seems like your theme is adding some widget code that’s interfering with the slider.

If you navigate to Settings > Page Builder in your WordPress admin, under the Widgets tab, disable “Add Widget Class”.

Thank you very much, that just did the trick! ;)
