I am playing with a new front page idea and my boss wanted to try doing a Hero image with a video background. When I add a frame, the WYSIWYG buttons and the text doesn’t shows up when I’m working on the frame. When I create a button and then add the shortcode to the content, it just shows up as the [buttons] text in white inside the Hero widget on the test page.
This is driving me crazy since when I try to expand subsections, they overlap and also don’t work or don’t render. I use a lot of SiteOrigin widgets on my company site and haven’t had much of an issue before. I use Chrome as my primary browser but the issue is exactly the same under IE.

Hi Michealm
This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
Thanks for the tip. I did as you suggested and it appears to have been one of the plugins.
Super, glad to hear you’ve made progress.
