I think the title said it all. I’m just wondering if there’s a way I can hide the page builder TAB to client requesting an ADMIN access. Thank you sir :)
Hi Web Admin
We unfortunately don’t yet have user roles for Page Builder. Hopefully sometime soon!
What about heading to Settings > SiteOrigin Page Builder and un-checking pages/posts. That would remove the tab but the format should still render correctly. There is the possibility the client could then edit content via the Visual editor and cause problems though. Perhaps give it a try.
Hello Andrew, has any progress been made toward user roles for Page Builder? If so I’d love to know about it. On a side note, I found this article on disabling Visual Editor for all users except admin. Thought it might be helpful to someone: http://docs.pagelines.com/tutorials/lockdown-visual-editor
Unfortunately, we haven’t implemented this yet. There are a few considerations we’d need to make before implementing this. For example, how we’d handle a user without Page Builder rights, editing the content in the visual editor.
There are a few other things we need to think about. If anyone else needs this feature, we’ll bump it up our priority list. I’ve marked this thread as a feature request.
