Is there any alternative of Post Carousel widget?

Hi,
I am using WordPress “Vantage” theme and all siteorgin widget bundle.
My question is: How can I Include the latest 3 posts in the home page without using the carousel effect?. I dont Like the effect of moving the posts left and right in the home page, I would like to have the latest 3 posts displayed flowing my grid and enough.

how could I do That please by reserving the feature image, not to be stretched.
