Is there a premium version of North coming out?

Hello. I have been fooling around with North for the past week or so. I really like it, particularly for an affiliate site I have in mind. With a full page width of 1880 pixels, it’s wonderful for displaying product images.

My question is this: Is there a premium version coming out? I saw that mentioned somewhere in the support forum and I would be among the first in line to get a premium version.

Thanks for making some truly remarkable products.

Hé mister, you have to get in line! I want to be the first, hahahah!
As I was told, they are working on it, so, fingers crossed.

    Hi, I Work Here

Currently, Andrew and Alex have me locked away in a little room working on a new premium product that’ll enhance all our themes and plugins – this includes North. It’s moving along nicely.

Any suggestions for premium features you’d like to see? We have a whole lot in the works, but any other ideas would be awesome.

    Super Greg!!!

On the top of my head my suggestions:
    – widgets in header
    – customizable mobile menu
    – possibility to hide the submenu’s in the mobile menu, perhaps when you click on it, the submenu shows. kind of like a dropdown menu
    – customizable menu (showing current page, making sub-menu a row instead of a column)
    – no siteorigin in the footer
    – possibility to show current page on a one-pager.

But would you please first fix and update the bugs? I have the prelease, much better, but still the following issues:
    – cut off submenu (in pc mode)
    – when on tablet, with normal menu (so no mobile), the submenu’s don’t show, please make them clickable
    .

I am super thrilled, because i just LOOOOOOVE North!

Oh, I overread that is also includes the plugins!

Image grid: possibility to show text

And perhaps for the premium members a guide through all the different widgets. What do they do, where to use it for.

    AND… (I know, I’m terrible)
In Image grid you can add a link to the picture, but I really want that link to open in a new tab, not replacing the current site.

Sorry to hear about your monkish existence, Greg. Time out for a beer would do you a world of good, I imagine.

Thanks for asking about what I would like to added to North. I hope I don’t bring to mind Henry Ford’s remark that if he asked his customers what they wanted, they would have replied faster horses.

The two things I keep going back to are controls to make changing font size simpler and adding a widget area under or over the header. I have done this with Vantage and it’s a very good place to stick an ad.

Yes, I can change the font in the Child theme, but having that capability in Customizer under fonts would be very good.

I can also add a widget area myself, but one in the header ready to go would be very useful. I don’t think it would ruin the clean, minimal aesthetic North is going for and is so popular today.

I have one other request and that is on Page Builder. Is it possible to add a description of the row to help the locate a certain row more easily? Hero row, Who we are row, features row, services row, testimonial row, main products row, etc? Not for the viewer, but for the person staring at the backend of a page open in the dashboard. It’s easy to get lost on a page with more than a few rows, and having a simple title as a guide to locate where I am would be very helpful.

Thanks to you and your team for some great products that sound as if they are only going to get better. Can’t wait to see what happens.

I can see in a update that a premium version is possible! When I click on it, I’m coming here: Premium

In the update, the excisting bugs are still there (no submenu’s showing when clicking on tablet and cut-off, not scrollable submenu on pc).

What is the status on that?

Another feature I really would like to have in North premium is the possibility to make the submenu a row instead of a column.
