I need to remove it as my name and email are showing all over the place – all comments have been disabled on wordpress – google says the pages are still live. what can I do – these pages were from earlier galleries and are in google cache and ruining my site

    this didn’t show up in subject line – this is the code I need to delete or something like it. thanks Joan

    Hi Sunnywest

    As long as the comments are disabled for future pages through Settings->Discussion unchecking ‘Allow people to post comments on new articles’ and that your existing pages have had comments and discussion disabled then you will have to contact google to have the old pages removed from their cache

    There is no need to remove the comments tags from any of the templates as these are not rendered when the above settings are correct.
