Hello Guys,

You make really good and outstanding themes/plugins/tools here – nice work.

I just want to input my “2 cents” on Desktop PC usability on Influence theme:

Off-screen menu which reveals after pressing menu link/button works fine on mobile devices, but for Desktop users with huge monitors and resolutions, I think it should show menu items in the header all the time (without the need to notice that tiny menu button, which is located on the least noticeble place – top right corner. Remember F reading patern of any website user?).

Also, for Desktop users, it is counter-intuitive to figure out that they need to look for something to press on, to be able to reveal the navigation. If they don’t see navigation right away – they just bounce out of the website (the less the clicks to the content, the better the usability).

Could You make some quick tips, how can I alter the code, to show menu items in the header all the time? (There will be only 4 items, so they sure will fit in the header horizontally).

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi steppen321

Thanks very much for your support and feedback.

I agree, the off canvas navigation isn’t for anyone. I unfortunately don’t anticipate any changes being made to Influence in this regard in the near future. Just as Origami is a one column only theme, Influence was designed to to use an off canvas menu. This design pattern, while definitely debatable, is used on sites like squarespace.com for example. Changing the menu to a conventional one is unfortunately beyond the scope of support we’re able to offer and more a custom development task.

Sorry we don’t have more here.

    Thanks for Your reply.

I understand Your point. I think I just will harcode the links in the header.

    Good work anyway.

You could consider implementing different (best) user intereaction for each user type (mobile / desktop) in one single theme in the future – I would use/buy that theme ;)

Is there a way to make the menu button larger? Edit the graphic?
