Images not working

Hello,

When I try to use the siteorigin image or the siteorigin slider, none of the pictures appear. I narrowed it down to the actual sireorigin having the problem as I used another method to upload a picture that had recently not worked with the siteorigin but worked this way. Also now when I use a siteorigin editor and I put my content in it then I proceed to update and check the page nothing of what I had written is there. Then when I go back and look, the actual widget itself is empty as if I had never written anything down.

Regards,
Christopher

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Christopher,

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Hello Alex,
Thanks for the response. So the issue seemed to fix itself with the siteorigin and they work fine. The problem now thats occurring that I believe was the actual problem in the first place is no when I try to download any new pictures on wordpress they show up as a broken link, yet there is no error or anything that comes up saying there was a problem, they just upload normally and then show up as broken.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Christopher,

That actually sounds like a permission issue with your wp-contents/uploads directory. I would recommend asking your hosting provider if they could check the permissions of that directory to ensure that it’s writable by WordPress (ie. WordPress is able to accept uploads and store them there). The directory permissions should be 755 (as per WordPress recommendation).

This is sadly not something we can help you with. :(

    Hello,
Yea I've already tried all that and I've contacted my hosting provider, but thank you for the assistance.
