Images from posts are not displayed when sharing a link on Facebook

I have just started using the Influence theme and I’m getting to grips with using the Page Builder Visual Editor widget. I am no techie.

In the past, when I’ve posted a link on Facebook to a post on my website (pre Influence), a corresponding image from the post is usually displayed alongside the heading and first paragraph.

Images are in the post – as featured images and within the body of the post.

Since moving to Page Builder/Visual Editor/Influence the only thumbnail that appears next to my post on Facebook is the small version of my logo that I’ve set to appear above the slider area, not the images that are used in the body of the post, or featured image.

Is this a Facebook issue or is there anything I can do on my website to help Facebook find the post image when it scans the link/post?

    Hi Julie

    You can try a plugin like the following: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-open-graph/ to assist with sharing on Facebook. If you run the plugin, WordPress SEO, that also has a section for controlling sharing content.
