Image Size for SiteOrigin Hero widget

I am trying to use the prebuilt Everest Design for my landing page and already have a Hero Image to upload.
However, my image is very big (6300×4200)so, I need to save it for web. What are recommended sizes to scale it down correctly?

    One option would be to use some sort of online image resizer like this one http://www.picresize.com/
