I have added images to the images grid widget but want thumbnails…I have chose thumnails as the image size but widget is not bringing in the wordpress thumbnail. I have the image size set as max 200 x 200. It is on this site: http://www.michaelmarkos.com/. Can you help me with this, is there another way to add?
I too am having the same issue. Although the Image Grid allows you to select an overall image size it has no effect on the image being brought in from the Media Library. So on my site, I’ve got the full size image being loaded and then scaled down in the browser and this isn’t good for loading times. There seems to be a bug in the plugin for selecting the correct image size. It would be good to select the image size much like you can when you use WordPress’ native gallery. Any ideas SiteOrigin?
This should be working properly in the latest version of the Widgets Bundle. Can you double check that you’re up to date. You should be running version 1.5.7.
If the correct size still isn’t showing, then it’s possible that you’d need to regenerate all your thumbnails. Especially if you’re adding older images to the image grid.

Hi Greg
Thanks for your reply. I’ve just seen a plugin update come in for the Widgets Bundle and so I updated it. Unfortunately, this has now deactivated all the instances of where the Image Grid was used within a page and it says Missing Widget instead. Any ideas?
When it’s up and running I’ll regenerate thumbnails too.
Unfortunately we accidentally renamed the Image Grid class name in version 1.5.6, which we had to roll back in version 1.5.7. This means that if you created an Image Grid using version 1.5.6, it’ll give this missing widget error.
If you have a very simple image grid, then I’d just suggest deleting the missing widget and recreating it. If you have quite a few complex image grids, then there is a migration technique, but it’s a little more technical. Let me know if you’d like me to guide you through that process.
It’s ok I’ve rolled back to the previous version so I can jot down all the images I’ve used in Image Grids and will recreate them under the updated version. Thanks for your help.
