I’m Locked out of My Website because I need to activate WooCommerce

By CStevens84, 6 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 6 years ago.

This is the message that I receive now when I try to log into my wp-admin to work on my website. Please help!
Please Activate WooCommerce Plugin First, to use it.

Button is available to “Dismiss this Notice”, I’ve clicked it, but nothing happens.

I am a complete novice to building websites. I have built three others using ELEMENTOR but I saw a website that was pretty cool and they used SiteOrigin so I installed and activated SiteOrigin. The Template stated I was missing some supporting plugins so I went back into the Add New Plugins and now here I sit, rather ticked.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi CStevens84,

Unfortunately, we’re not too sure why this is happening as none of our plugins require WooComemrce. I would recommend following the instructions outlined in this article to deactivate plugins via FTP. If you need assistance with this, I would reach out to your hosting provider for assistance.
