I need a Snapshot child theme and have some issue with Snapshot Plus

Dear Support,

I would like to try your Snapshot theme for my another project. I have downloaded the theme from this site. When I try to upgrade to Snapshot Plus the system tells me that it is impossible because there is no style.css file in Snapshot Plus.

Also I would like to ask you to give me the Child theme for Snapshot.

    Hi Andy

    Snapshot Plus is actually a plugin that you need to have installed along side Snapshot. You can check the original download email for instructions.

    Snapshot allows you to create child themes in a fairly standard way. This is a very good guide to getting started with child themes.

    I have downloaded that plus-snapshot folder from the email. But when I try to Add a theme I have the following error:

    You need to navigate to Plugins > Add New and install the plus-snapshot plugin zip file there. Make sure you have Snapshot installed.

    You can check the original download email for detailed installation instructions. The instructions are at the top of the email.

    Yeah, I know of course how to install a new Theme. I have been working with your Vantage theme for long time.

    Hi Andy

    The issue here is that Snapshot Plus is a plugin. If you try install a plugin in the same way you’ve installed a theme, then you’ll get an error that says the stylesheet is missing. These are the instructions for installing plus-snapshot.zip.

    1. Ensure Snapshot installed and active (it seems like you’ve already done this).
    2. In your WordPress admin navigate to Plugins > Add New, then click Upload Plugin (please note, do not navigate to Appearance > Themes > Add New. the plus-snapshot.zip file is not a theme, it is a plugin).
    3. Select the plus-snapshot.zip file from your computer, then click Install Now.

    Can you confirm that you’re trying to do the install process by navigating to Plugins > Add New?
