Hi,
I don’t have the pre-built layout icon on my pages/posts/projects. This doesn’t matter whether I make new (multiple) pages/posts/projects with page builder, or redo existing pages using pagebuilder. The icon is NOT THERE.
No support thread seems to address this issue so I’m very very confused.

Hi Natalie
Page Builder displays the prebuilt layouts icon for both prebuilt layouts that come with your theme and cloning existing Page Builder pages.
Which theme are you using? Have you created any pages using Page Builder that you’d expect it to be able to clone on other pages?
I’m using Theme Trust’s “Baylie” theme.
I’m wanting to use PageBuilder to create all my project pages (100+ of them), and I’ve created 4 project pages now and the template icon has not shown up yet. :(
At the moment, Page Builder only looks at pages for content to clone. So one trick here would be to create a new page as your project template and to just save that page as a draft. Don’t publish it.
So the steps would be
1. Navigate to Pages > Add New in your WordPress admin.
2. Give the page the title “Template: Project”
3. Create your generic layout.
4. Hit save draft
5. Create a project and the prebuilt layout should be there.
6. ???
7. Profit
Hope that does the trick :)
Yes! That was it! It was the saving-as-draft part instead of publishing the page.
THANKS!!!
Hi Natalie
Glad to hear you were able to resolve.
All the best.
Natalie, I use the same theme as you–Themetrust’s Baylie. But the Page Builder tab only shows up as a option in regular pages and posts….not in Projects. Have you been able to use Page Builder on “Project” pages in Baylie?
Hi Sebastian
Try going to Settings > Page Builder > General and select the Project post type, if it is a post type.
Hope that helps.
