Huge problem wtih Price table Widget

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

I was so looking forward to using the widget as opposed to handcode it all i HTML/CSS – but I’ve been stopped in my progress.

First of all, when I’m editing, I can’t close opened columns or featured. Not a major problem, I can live with it but it’s still irritating.

The bigger problem is that I have a hard time adding features.

When I open a feature for editing, it will open underneath the rest of the page instead of pushing the rest of the content down.

I’ve tried to deactivate most plugins, but so far no luck in finding the culprit. It’s the same issue in both IE and Chrome.

I’m running the latest version of both widgets, Page Builder and WP.

I can’t show you the problem in the backend, but I’ve provided a link to a screenshot.

    Hi Morten Larsen

This does sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling ALL non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

    Thanks

    Hi Morten

Could you please check for any JavaScript issues when using the price table widget.

When I try to expand a column, I get this error in the console: http://prntscr.com/7uicip

    Hi Morten

Please run the JavaScript Check again. When the error appears please hold your mouse over the file name on the right and post the path to the script containing the error here.

    Hi Morten Larsen

This definitely looks like a JavaScript conflict with another plugin or script that is running on the site. Can you please try disabling ALL non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

I have already tried that, but did it again just to make sure.
Here’s a scrrenshot of the only active plugins: http://prntscr.com/7vn010

    The problem is still there.

    Found it!

Sorry, but it was a hidden plugin, so kind of hard to firgure out. But by removing all the plugin folders one by one I managed to narrow it down to the Worker plugin connecting the site to ManageWP. https://managewp.com/

Any luck in figuring out, where it goes wrong?

    Hi Morten

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Hi Andrew,

User is created and pw sent to the mentioned mail address. Thx for looking into this.

Apologies for the hassle, it seems the login details didn’t reach us. You’ll see them here in the thread as a private message if they come through. Please, use the Private Reply checkbox below and post them manually. You can delete the user account once we’re done.

    Thanks

    Thanks :)

If I de-activate Manage WP’s plugin the issue doesn’t seem to resolve. I did clear the cache first. To diagnose further we’d need to put your site into maintenance mode using a maintenance mode plugin and plugin troubleshoot from the beginning. Is this something you’d like us to help with?

  17. Morten Ellegaard Larsen 10 years, 6 months ago

Yes it’s ok. When do you plan to do that?

  18. Andrew Misplon Staff 10 years, 6 months ago

After lots of testing I’ve come up with the following:

On it’s own Crayon Syntax Highlighter causes the problem. But so does Events Manager. If you turn both of those plugins off you’ll see the problem resolve. I’ve logged the conflict as a bug report on our side. I, unfortunately don’t have a short term solution.

  19. Andrew Misplon Staff 10 years, 6 months ago

Please, do a quick check of your site and plugins to make sure everything is activated that should be. Thanks.

  20. Andrew Misplon Staff 10 years, 6 months ago

Testing locally I can run both Crayon Syntax Highlighter and Events Manager with the SiteOrigin Price Table widget without any issues.

At some point it might be worth testing with a default theme like Twenty Fifteen to see there are any theme level problems.

Issues like this that involve multi-way conflicts can be very hard to narrow down.
