How to use CSS Editor with dynamic menus

Hi,
First I’m totally impressed with this tool. I’ve been fumbling around with Chrome Inspector and my limited CSS knowledge for weeks/months and now within hours with your tool I’ve made most of my customizations (with confidence). Astonishing… :)

Two questions:

1) I’m using a theme (BuddyPress) that has dynamic menus that float out from the left. You select using a hamburger on the top nav. When I select the hamburger nothing happens so I can’t get to the dynamic menus, and more importantly I can’t get to the other pages accessible by these menus.

How can I use CSS Editor with Dynamic Menus? Ideally I’d like to make some CSS adjustments on the menus themselves. However, more importantly if I can’t just click through the menus within CSS Editor, is there a place I can enter a page URL to move to that page. I see when I click on my static menus I get a “Navigate to: ” link that I can click to change pages. However, I don’t see any way to enter or edit this so I can manually change pages to another URL. Can either of this approaches be done?

2) Where is the CSS generated by CSS Editor stored? I don’t see it going into my child theme. Is it in another file? I want to make sure I am storing this and backing up properly if it’s not in the Child Theme…

Thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Paul

Really glad to hear you’ve been enjoying SiteOrigin CSS. To navigate to other pages, click the magnifying glass icon bottom left, that’ll disable the inspector and all you to navigate to other pages. Once at your destination page, click the magnifying glass to turn the inspector back on.

For menu items that appear on hover, you can click them and then select the item you want to edit. There might be certain situations that are a little too tricky for the editor. If you send a link to your site we could take a look and try to assist further.

SiteOrigin CSS is stored in the database, it’s outputted in the head of your activated theme. It’s update safe with or without a child theme in use.
